Program Partners

Walmart Foundation

Since 2010, the Walmart Foundation has provided grant funding to the
Partners for Breakfast In the Classroom (PBIC)
to increase the number of children with access to school breakfast. Walmart Foundation’s philanthropic focus includes – Opportunity, Sustainability and Community.

Share Our Strength

The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) is working with Share Our Strength on “Schools as Nutrition Hubs.” Schools operating as Nutrition Hubs are those that participate in and maximize all federal child nutrition programs available, in addition to the National School Lunch Program, includes school breakfast, afterschool meals and summer meals.

US Department of Agriculture

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service has awarded the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) a nearly $2 million grant to develop a training program for school nutrition professionals. SNF’s L.E.A.D (Learn, Educate, Advance, Develop) to Succeed initiative will examine and address professional and workforce development needs of school nutrition professionals in the areas of Personnel Management and Communication, Marketing and Customer Service.

Winston Foodservice

SNF and Winston have teamed up for more than a decade to help school nutrition professionals address equipment needs in order to better serve students. The Winston Foodservice Equipment Grant program will award equipment to one (1) school district in need of improving its school meal kitchen facilities through a competitive grant process. Equipment received from the Winston Foodservice award will consist of 10 pieces of equipment from Winston Foodservice.

Hobart/Vulcan

ITW/FEG Vulcan and Hobart divisions have teamed up to help SNF provide more equipment to SNA members. The recipient of the ITW/FEG Equipment Grant will be awarded up to $60,000 worth of Vulcan and Hobart equipment. Once awarded, the recipient will work with an ITW/FEG representative to determine what best suits their school district’s needs.

SCHOLARSHIPS

School Nutrition Association

In its ongoing commitment to members, SNA provides $75,000 in funding for conference and education scholarships

Schwan’s Food Service

For more than 35 years, Schwan’s has demonstrated their commitment to advancing school nutrition programs by funding education scholarships. More than 1,500 individuals have received scholarships to pursue a degree. These scholarships strengthen school nutrition programs and directly impact millions of students.

Jack Maas, Jr. (JTM) ANC Scholarship

New this year is the “Jack Maas, Jr.” ANC Scholarship named in honor of the son of JTM’s founder, Jack Thomas, Sr.  The company was founded on his principles of dedication, faith, hard work, family and commitment to excellence.  Each $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to four (4) SNA members.

AccuTemp

AccuTemp ANC First Timers scholarships makes it possible for SNA members to experience the unique education that only ANC can offer! Each scholarship winner is also invited to networking reception hosted by AccuTemp.

Asian Food Solutions

Asian Food Solutions is also offering SNA members the wonderful opportunity to attend a national conference.  It is providing the funding for twenty (20) ANC First-Timer Scholarships for the first time this year.

Each year, AccuTemp assists with social media outreach and challenges to help raise funds for Foundation programs on Giving Tuesday. Their generous matching donation helps donated dollars go much further!

Horizon Software International

Helping to increase awareness AND raise funds for the Foundation, Horizon Software International partnered with SNF at ANC and several state association conferences. For every attendee that stopped by the Horizon booth and mentioned “SNF,” Horizon made a donation to the Foundation.
