NATIONAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

The School Nutrition Foundation (SNF) offers the following scholarship opportunities to SNA members:

ANC Scholarships for First-Timers

AccuTemp Products First-Timers Scholarship 

For the fifth year in a row, AccuTemp Products is offering twenty (20) $500 scholarships that will pay for ANC registration of members who are attending ANC for the first time. Visit AccuTemp First-Timers  for guidelines and eligibility requirements.

The J.T.M. Food Group Jack Maas, Jr. ANC Scholarship

Established in 2020, the “Jack Maas, Jr.” ANC Scholarship is named in honor of the son of J.T.M’s founder, Jack Thomas, Sr.  The company was founded on his principles of dedication, faith, hard work, family, and commitment to excellence.  Each $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to four (4)" SNA members who are attending ANC for the first time. The deadline for the ANC First-timers Application is April 24, 2023.

Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow:

Dr. Josephine Martin is a pioneer in the field of child nutrition. Launching her career at the Georgia Department of Education in 1950 as the assistant school lunch director, she soon became a vocal advocate for child nutrition, influencing legislation on the community, state and federal levels. 

  • The recipient of the Fellowship will be awarded up to $3,000 to attend and be recognized at SNA’s Legislative Action Conference, helping to defray travel expenses. 
  • Eligibility: Be an active SNA employee or manager section member, who has been a SNA member for at least three years, as of LAC 2023 (since no later than April 1, 2020); have never previously attended LAC; and have an interest in child nutrition policy. 

The Josephine Martin National Policy Fellowship application opens on September 1, 2022 and closes November 18, 2022.

The J.T.M. Food Group Jack Maas, Jr. LAC Scholarship

J.T.M. Food Group is committed to helping school nutrition professionals get the education they need to help feed millions of school children each year. The “Jack Maas, Jr.” LAC Scholarship will provide members with the opportunity to attend SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC) 2023.  

  • Recipients of the scholarships will each receive $1,000 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.  
  • SNF will award four (4) scholarships for LAC 2023. Two (2) of the scholarships will be for First Timers only.
